Businesses, health care professionals, and faith leaders invited to join us in opposition to SB55

by | April 22, 2021

Time is short. Monday is the deadline for Governor Kelly to announce a decision on whether she will sign or veto SB55, and she could make the announcement sooner.

We are collecting “signatures” for these letters – one for Kansas businesses, one for Kansas healthcare professionals (including mental health), and one for faith leaders in Kansas, to ask Governor Kelly to veto this harmful bill.

If you’d like your name or business added to a letter, email our Director of Community Outreach, Liz Hamor – Please tell her which letter(s) you want to “sign”, include your name/business name and credentials the way you want them to appear on the letter, and the city or county in which you serve.

In the event that Governor Kelly vetoes SB55, these letters will be used to ask legislators to sustain the veto, so we’ll be collecting names until just before Veto Session, May 3rd.

We’ll continue to fight to ensure SB55 does not become law, and we need you to continue to fight with us!
